FCC Happenings
Dear FCC family
Because we were not able to meet this weekend I wanted to take a minute to remind you of some of the things going on at FCC this coming weekend. It is a busy weekend (as most seem to be) and I wanted you all to be prepared and able to take advantage of all the things that will help you grow and make a difference.
Wednesday – Don't forget Pulse Groups meet, the meal is at 6pm and Pulse groups meet from 7 to 8 with great programs for kids too.
Friday – Sassy Scrappers – our Girlfriend's Unlimited scrap-booking group. You don't need to be in Girlfriends or even a member of FCC to come. First Friday of the month from 7 to 11
Saturday – Men's and ladies' Pulse Groups with babysitting. I know that this is going to be a very special ladies pulse group because they are going to have a conference call with Gary Thomas, the author of Sacred Influence. Both meet from 9 – 10am
Sunday – In addition to our normal wonderful Sundays at FCC we will be taking a special offering up for Haiti This offering will go to help the Degeo family (one of our own at FCC whose family lives in Port-au-Prince) as well as Christianville (http://www.christianvillehaiti.org/)
Sunday – there will also be a spaghetti dinner to benefit Haiti. If you have not yet committed to bring something for the dinner (sauce, spaghetti, bread...etc) please contact Tom Cooperider or Jan Stafford asap. The dinner will take place at 12:30pm
Just a reminder – With the “snow day” on Sunday we are behind in our giving for the year and even an offering of 12,000 for church will not catch us up to date on giving. Please remember that the offering for Haiti is in addition to the money we give for the ministry here at FCC. Your giving allows us to help people grow in their love for God, feeds people who are hungry, help's repair marriages, and spreads the good news about Jesus around the world and locally here in Fayetteville. Our weekly need is approximately $6300 so give generously.
Tax Forms are at the welcome center. Please pick up your giving forms to help us avoid having to mail them out. This will save us a lot of money in the long run.
FCC is a church family that loves God, serves people and reaches the world for Jesus Christ by helping people take one step closer to Jesus every day – thanks for all you do to make that happen every day.
Your Brother - Tom
